| (Business) model curiosity |
Hi. I don't know if this is considered rude to ask; and if it is, please let me know. Anyhow, I find myself a bit curious in regards to how the business model behind the site works, specifically in regards to the models. Do you only recruit models from the area in which Strobe is located? (I assume California, although I really have no idea). Are they payed a flat commision based on number of pictures used online, or is there a more variable fee-structure in place? Do you pay their travels? Is it economically favorable to bring in models based far away? How many issues do you have to sell to break even? Would you consider increasing the amount of featured models per month , if the memberbase was willing to pay more?
I love Strobe, and wouldn't want it to change for anything, but I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more content either.
I tend to just sit and browse sites like modelmayhem from time to time, and there's so many times I catch myself thinking "that's a great girl, too bad the photographers don't realize what they have/are unable to make a good result out of their shoots... I bet Strobe could work wonders...". But then I realize Strobe already have a pretty big stable of regulars who members want to see more of. I guess you guys don't have many free spots as it is. Is my assumption correct?
When members suggest new models ofr Strobe, how serious are you/how many times do you follow up by asking the models in question? Is the feedback generally positive or negative when you ask?
Sorry for the million questions... My mind grows idle when I'm home sick, and then it... *shiver* ...starts 'thinking'! :)

I know I'm being old-fashioned here, and the trend has been in place for about 4 or 5 years now, but....why did models and the fashion industry start to pull straps down below the hip bone? This may seem lilke a silly question, but I used to LOVE when models would accentuate their legs by pulling the strps nice and high over their hips. The styles now make the torso look long and the legs look stubby. Maybe it's just me as a leg and butt man, but I sure wish the style wold revert back to the old over-the-hip style I loved so much.

Nicole Pisarri is by far the best looking lady you've had pose but I don't understand why she and most of the other girls can't show their nipples like Yani did. You won't stay in business long trying to be SI Swimsuit comp if you don't start performing more like Playboy. They've only been in business for fifty some years. What is the easiest way to download images since zip files are no longer available. I currently use firefox and downthemall, but this requires right clicking on every image and selecting the "start download" command. Is there an easier way? Thanks.

Tiffany Joy's Part3 page in the Feb 2008 issue does not show any pictures. If I click on the links to bring up the full-size image, I just get Prev/Next buttons, but no picture. It is the same if I go to the page from her model index page. Can this be fixed please?

Kudos to Nicole Parrisi's photographer, some of his pictures in her December collection have the exact type of thing I was asking about last month: straight-ahead shot focusing prominently on the tiny waist sloping out to full hips. I have such a fetish for that aspect of perfect female form that I would like to start website devoted just to it. But frankly its really quite rare in glamour, fashion or porn photgraphy. Even when there is a woman with such attributes, photgraphers often obscure it with hands on hips, twisting, or turning or leaning the model in one direction or another.

Here's my suggestion if you're going to revamp the site: Allow members to create a "favorites page" that just has personal favorite models and/or photosets. C'mon, that can't be too complicated!
